Dear Delegates,

My name is James Liu and I will be your Chair for China: 2020 at ILMUNC XXVI. I am honored to serve you alongside Dong and the rest of our staff and am looking forward to meeting each and everyone one of you.

I am currently a senior in The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in Operations & Marketing and minoring in Political Science. I have been part of the International Affairs Association since my freshman year; last spring, I was a Chair at ILMUNC on ECOSOC.

I am especially excited about our cabinet because I studied abroad in Peking University in Beijing, China last fall. China’s rise is certainly one of the hottest topics in international relations, and I am confident that we will have highly dynamic and exciting debate in our committee. Be sure to know the characteristics of both your own and all your fellow delegates’ characters, and be prepared to be creative and proactive in our debate.

Dear Delegates,

 

It is my pleasure to welcome you to China: 2020 of ILMUNC 2010. My name is Dong Joon Lee and I will be your crisis director.

 

I am a senior at Penn studying Finance, Accounting and Management. I have been involved with Model UN since high school and this will be my fourth ILMUNC in college. Outside of MUN, I am also involved in Penn International Business Volunteers, which is a student organization that provides consulting services free of charge to NGOs abroad. I’m also involved with Social Impact Consulting, which provides consulting services to NGOs in Philadelphia.

 

During the conference you will all be members of the uppermost echelon of the Chinese government, and it will be up to you to determine the best course of action to take in what will most certainly be a tumultuous period.

 

Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that your conference experience is both intellectually challenging and engaging. Your chair, James Liu, is very experienced in running crisis committees.
