Daniel Maldonado

Dear Delegates,

It is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to the specialized FIFA Committee at ILMUNC 34! My name is Daniel Maldonado and I’m excited to be your chair. The Secretariat and Staff have been hard at work to make this the best ILMUNC yet, and I hope that your weekend in committee and at conference will be full of debate and memorable moments. Soccer runs through my veins and if I’m not working on my laptop on or Netflix, odds are I’m reading transfer news or checking up on highlights. FIFA already is slightly corrupt, let’s see what happens when you take on its helm.

Before I get to know all of you, here’s a little about myself: I am a senior in the College studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) with a minor in history. I have been heavily involved with Penn’s IAA since my freshman year. Right now I’m Chief of Staff for COE as well as a traveling member of Penn’s competitive Model UN team, Intercol (now ranked #1 in the country by the way). Outside of the IAA I remain involved in the Penn Undergraduate Law Journal as an executive editor and serve as the Internal Vice President for my fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha. I heavily follow most soccer, or futbol, leagues in the world so if you’re a fan let me know!

It’s my goal to make sure this ILMUNC is better than ever! Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I’m looking forward to seeing you this fall!

Best regards,

Daniel Maldonado

Adithya Adaikalavan

Dear Delegates,

Let me introduce myself. I’m sophomore in the Wharton School concentrating in Finance and Statistics with a minor in French. I was born in Australia, but went to Princeton High School in Princeton, NJ (Sorry, no Australian accent unfortunately). My love for soccer developed while living in Denmark and I have played it for over 13 years. I’ve also enjoyed watching my favorites, Manchester United, hoist the Europa League trophy and move onto conquering the Champions League once again.

Apart from loving soccer, I love Model United Nations! I was a delegate for four years in high school and is now a member of Intercol, Penn’s college Model United Nations team. I am also a part of the Wharton Investment & Trading Group. Some of my favorite activities are watching any sport, cooking (mainly the eating part after the cooking is done), and traveling. Although I missed out on coming to ILMUNC as a delegate, I am excited to make this ILMUNC one of the best as moderator of the FIFA committee!

Please, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me through our fantastic USG, Owen.

Best,

Adithya Adaikalavan
