Welcome to the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference China 2012
Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the inaugural session of the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference China. ILMUNC China will be held from March 1st to March 4th, 2012 in Shanghai. ILMUNC is one of the most prestigious Model United Nations simulations in the world and has gathered thousands of delegates for passionate debate, lively negotiations and entertaining activities. Now ILMUNC is coming to China.
The conference will be co-hosted by the University of Pennsylvania International Affairs Association (Penn IAA) and Weland Model United Nations Conference (WEMUNC). WEMUNC has established itself as the premier Model UN organization in China and runs the largest conference in Asia. We are confident this partnership will provide an ideal environment for students to grow and learn.
ILMUNC China 2012 will provide a unique opportunity for competition in rigorous American style debate where students will gain a deeper understanding for the complexities of global politics and a greater appreciation for the increasingly interconnected nature of the international community. The conference will feature traditional General Assembly and Economic and Social Council committees. Delegates will also have the option to apply for positions in the Specialized Agencies. These committees have proven successful at ILMUNC. We are excited to bring our expertise and experience to ILMUNC China. For more information about our Philadelphia conference, please visit www.ilmunc.com.
A demanding and diverse array of committees will guarantee that ILMUNC China 2012 is the most comprehensive conference of its kind. Additionally, highly dedicated and experienced staff members will maintain the ILMUNC tradition of excellence.
Along with the traditional conference experience, social events such as the Global Village and Delegate Dance will conclude a weekend of hard work with an equal level of fun. Additionally, workshops facilitated by University of Pennsylvania students will be some of the distinctive characteristics of the conference and promise to be very enlightening. In total, ILMUNC China 2012 will be a truly invaluable experience.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns that may arise. I am looking forward to meeting you all in March!
Best Regards,
Brittany Elliott
