Meet Our ASGs

Allie Kronthal

Allie Kronthal is a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences and is interested in studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. From Harrison, New York, Allie is an an Assistant Secretary-General for the General Assembly. Allie is vey excited to be apart of this year's Secretariat and is looking forward to ILMUNC XXVI!

 

 

 

Ana Conde

Ana Conde is a freshman in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and is currently pursuing a major in Bioengineering/Premed and a minor in Math. Born in Madrid and raised in Barcelona, Ana’s multicultural surroundings unlocked a keen interest in international relations, Model United Nations and languages. In the past, she’s participated in Global Young Leaders Conference, debate and MUN. She joined Penn’s International Affairs Association this fall as an ASG for the General Assembly, and is looking forward to meeting you and having a great time at what is sure to be the best ILMUNC yet!

 
Lena Garrett

Lena is a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences hoping to major in Political Science. She was president of her high school’s Model United Nations club in Miami, Florida, where she had the opportunity to orchestrate her own high school conference. She could not imagine her college life without Model United Nations, which is why she is ecstatic to be an Assistant Secretary-General for ILMUNC XXVI.

 

 

 

Hunter Horsley

Hunter Horsley is a freshman studying in the Wharton School. From California, Hunter may be seen, at times, inadequately dressed for the weather due to both his ignorance and his being significantly underequipped to do so. This year Hunter is very excited to be working on ILMUNC XXVI as an Assistant Secretary-General (ASG). Besides working with the ILMUNC Secretariat, Hunter participates in student government and club sports at UPenn.

 
Alice Kissilenko

Alice Kissilenko is a freshman in the Huntsman Program, a dual-degree track combining international relations in the College of Arts and Sciences and business in Wharton. She is targeting Spanish, but also speaks French and Bulgarian. Although she lives in New York, her family is originally from Eastern Europe. This is her fifth consecutive ILMUNC, and she is thrilled to be learning about how the conference is run and realized. She loves debating and is excited to see what this year's delegates will bring!

 

 

 

Hardik Kotecha

Hardik Kotecha is a freshman in the School of Engineering and Applied Science planning to major in Chemical engineering. Hailing from Mumbai, India, he has been involved in Model UN for over 4 years. Hardik is extremely excited to work as Assistant Secretary-General for the General Assembly and is looking forward to ILMUNC ’10 to be one of the most competitive and enjoyable conferences ever.

 
Sarah Meyohas

Sarah Meyohas is a freshman in the Huntsman Program, a joint degree program between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School, focusing on international studies and business. ILMUNC XXVI will be Sarah’s fourth ILMUNC, but her first as Assistant Secretary-General. Having experienced ILMUNC has a delegate, Sarah is thrilled to join the Secretariat in what promises to be another great conference!

 

 

 

João Victor Mokdissi

João Victor Mokdissi is a freshman in the Wharton School of Business from Brasilia, Brazil. Aside from business, he has great interest in global politics and international affairs. In high school, he was able to explore such interests by attending various Model United Nations conferences, including ILMUNC XXV, the Iberian Model UN Conference in Lisbon and three sessions of the Brazil Model United Nations Conference in Rio de Janeiro, where he had the experience of being a delegate, chair, and eventually Secretary-General. João Victor is extremely excited to be an Assistant Secretary-General for ILMUNC XXVI and wishes you best of luck in preparing for the best conference you will ever attend!

 
Yuchen Pan

Yuchen (Martin) Pan is a freshman in the School of Engineering and Applied Science and from Shanghai, China. He is pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics and considering submatriculation. His passion for global issues, especially for East Asian politics, and different cultures has led him to study in the U.S. and join in the International Affairs Association. He is willing to help anyone not only to fix computing problems but also to appreciate what we have in life. Martin cannot wait for ILMUNC 2010 and is ready to work hard to make this year’s ILMUNC the most successful one ever!

 

 

 

Andres Saborio

Andres Saborio is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in International Relations with minors in Legal Studies and History. He was born and raised in Costa Rica. Although not involved in Model UN in high school, Andres is very excited and looking forward to working as an ASG in ILMUNC. He is confident that this year’s ILMUNC conference will be an unforgettable experience!

 
Luciano Ruiz

Luciano Ruiz is a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences pursuing a major in Economics and a minor in Legal Studies and History. Luciano was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, where he discovered his passion for international relations and globalization. Luciano began his Model UN career in high school and has participated in various local and international conferences. As he joins the UPenn community just this year, Luciano is thrilled to serve as the Assistant Secretary-General for Crisis Committees.

 

 

 

Amritha Sastry

Amritha Sastry is a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences intending to major in Political Science. Hailing from Tampa, Florida, Amritha has been actively involved in Model United Nations since her freshman year in high school, and is currently working as Assistant Secretary-General to the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference at the University of Pennsylvania. Amritha is looking forward to her first year in the IAA, and continuing with the preparations for the January 2010 conference.

 
David Schwartz

David Schwartz is a freshman in the School of Engineering and Applied Science majoring in Materials Science, with interests in Economics and Classical Studies. Having attended high school in Cross River, NY, he has three years of MUN experience, including participating in ILMUNC as a delegate. David looks forward to helping make ILMUNC XXVI a great experience for all.

 

 

 

Sam Shelley

Sam Shelley is a freshman in the Jerome Fisher Management and Technology Program, a joint degree program between the Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. This will be his fifth ILMUNC conference, but his first time working on Secretariat. Sam thought that the end of high school meant the end of Model UN, but found himself drawn in again and hopes this ILMUNC will be the best of all!

 
Eiman Soliman

Eiman Soliman is a freshman in the School of Engineering studying chemical engineering. Having had no previous experience in MUN, he fell in love with the IAA instantly. Eiman was born in Iran, and he has lived in Canada and Qatar. He loves living in new places, meeting new people, and is excited about ILMUNC this year. As an ASG, Eiman is looking forward to making this year’s ILMUNC conference one of the best Penn has ever seen.

 

 

 

Phill Venice

Phill Venice is a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences considering Penn’s Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) major. He is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and participated in Model UN throughout high school. Phill is incredibly excited to take on the role of Assistant Secretary-General for the conference this year, and is looking forward to the most successful ILMUNC yet!
