Dear Delegates,

Welcome to the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference! My name is Mark Rook and I will be serving as your Chair for the European Commission.

For a bit of background information, I am a sophomore Penn and plan on majoring in International Relations and Economics. I was born in Hungary, lived in Indianapolis for most of his life, and currently reside in Boston. To ensure that nobody knows where I’m going or what I’m saying, I currently have three citizenships and speak six languages. When I’m not travelling the world, I enjoy playing and watching soccer.

At Penn, my passion is participating in the International Affairs Association as the CFO for UPMUNC (Penn’s collegiate conference) and Business Director for the Community Outreach and Engagement branch. I also write international relations articles on European Politics for the Metric and play on an intramural soccer team.

I can’t wait to work closely with Cameron Ittner and Evan Batov in the coming months to make ILMUNC a fantastic experience for all of you. I am thrilled to see what creative solutions you can come up with to tackle this session’s challenging debate topics and look forward to meeting you all!

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to me, Cameron, Evan or your USG, Joshita Varshney.

Sincerely,

Mark Rook

Cameron Ittner

Dear Delegates,

Welcome to the Ivy League Model UN Conference 2019! My name is Cameron, and I am proud to be your moderator for the European Commission.

I am a junior from Philadelphia in Wharton School studying Business Economics & Public Policy and Finance. Outside of ILMUNC, I’m on the Community Outreach and Engagement and Academic Affairs branches of the International Affairs Association, work as a research assistant in the BEPP department, and love watching new movies.

I am extremely excited to be moderating the European Commission as the issues we will be debating are very important to me as dual citizen of the US and UK. If you have any questions about committee, conference, or anything else please feel free to reach out to me at icame@wharton.upenn.edu. I’m looking forward to meeting you all, and I can’t wait to see what kind of innovative solutions you guys come up with.

Kind regards,

Cameron Ittner
