Dear Delegates,

First of all, I’m delighted to welcome you to ILMUNC 36! My name is Farah Abdelrahim, and I’m very excited to be your Chair in our Joint Crisis Committee. I can’t wait to see your innovative solutions and hard work during this fun, dynamic committee.

To tell you a little more about myself, I’m a junior in the Huntsman Program, studying Finance in Wharton and International Studies with a minor in French in the College of Arts and Sciences. I’m Egyptian and I’ve lived in Cairo most of my life, despite moving around a bit as a child.  During my time there I discovered my love for Model UN, starting from the 8th grade up until now, as I’m currently a member of Penn’s travel team, Intercol. At Penn, I’m also on the Special Events branch of the International Affairs Association. In addition to Model UN, I’m extremely interested in fashion design and all related things, travel, and anything related to the Middle East!

This Joint Crisis Committee will require you to think creatively and on your feet. You should be ready for anything we throw your way, so be prepared to meet it with innovative, quick solutions. If you put in the work, this action-packed committee will be extremely rewarding.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to myself or our USG, Vishesh Shah, and we’ll be happy to help. I’m looking forward to meeting you all at ILMUNC.

Sincerely,

Farah Abdelrahim

Chair of Indian Cabinet
