Dear Delegates,

Welcome to ILMUNC XXXVI! I am Vyshnavi Kosigishroff (Vysh for short!) and I am thrilled to be your chair for the United Nations Environment Programme committee. Our two topics for this year are Development & Implementation of Environmentally Sound Technologies and Environmental Impact of Livestock Farming. These are two sometimes overlooked, but very pressing issues we currently face, and Zihan (our lovely vice-chair), Sneha (our equally lovely moderator), and I cannot wait to meet you all and get to work!

A little about me-I am a sophomore from Newark, DE, currently planning on double majoring in Economics and Environmental Policy in the College of Arts & Sciences. I’ve been a MUN kid since my freshman year of high school and am currently a traveling member of Intercol, Penn’s competitive Model UN team. In addition to MUN, I am part of Undergraduate Assembly, a branch of Penn Student Government, secretary of SSAP (Student Sustainability at Penn), and the Penny Loafers, a co-ed acapella group here on campus! I am also pretty active with Fossil Free Penn, a campus activist group dedicated to getting Penn to divest from the fossil fuel industry, and Penn Environmental Group. Outside of school, I enjoy playing guitar, grabbing coffee with friends, and napping between classes.

The UNEP team is beyond excited to meet you this winter. If you have any questions or concerns at all (or just want to say hi), feel free to reach out! See you soon!

Sincerely,

Vyshnavi Kosigishroff

Dear Delegates,

Welcome to ILMUNC XXXVI! My name is Sneha Sharma, and I am so excited to join you all as the moderator for UNEP in ILMUNC XXXVI. We are so excited for this memorable, rewarding, and exhilarating weekend. We look forward to welcoming you to this committee and conference.

To tell you a little bit about myself, I am a sophomore studying Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) in the College. I am from Memphis, TN so coming up to the chillier East Coast was definitely a transition. While I did ICJ MUN in high school, I properly got involved with MUN when I got to Penn through INTERCOL, Penn’s traveling MUN team. Joining the International Affairs Association has enhanced my time at Penn with countless memories, friends, and debate, and I am so grateful. Besides IAA, I also am involved in the Daily Pennsylvanian, the Penn newspaper, and the Social Planning and Events Committee. Other hobbies of mine include running, watching a copious amount of Netflix shows, and an aggressive amount of napping .

I am so excited to work with my fellow staffers who will without a doubt provide thought-provoking and dynamic collaboration around these interesting topics. I can’t wait to meet you all at ILMUNC. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any of us!

Sincerely,

Sneha Sharma
