Meet the Secretariat
We are excited to present you the ILMUNC 36 Secretariat! They have been working tirelessly to make this ILMUNC the best yet, and cannot wait to meet you at conference!
Ashley is a junior in the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business, a dual degree program between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School, where she is studying international studies, Latin languages and civilizations, and potentially studying marketing and behavioral economics. Born and raised a Jersey girl, Ashley loves her small hometown of Edison. She began participating in Model UN her freshman year of high school, and even competed at ILMUNC three times. Besides being Secretary-General of ILMUNC, Ashley does research for Global Research and Consulting and manages corporate relations for Wharton Europe. In her free time, Ashley enjoys skiing and snowboarding, playing soccer, listening and dancing to latin and Bollywood music, and watching Suits, White collar and La Casa de Papel. Ashley loved her time as an Under-Secretary-General, and is beyond excited to serve as Secretary-General for ILMUNC XXXVI!
Lexie is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Political Science with a certificate in Public Policy. Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Lexie participated in Model UN through all four years of high school. As such, she is thrilled to share her passion for debate and international affairs at ILMUNC. Outside of ILMUNC, Lexie is involved in Wharton’s Public Policy Initiative, is a Research Assistant, and is a writing tutor at Penn. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and binge-watching the best (and worst) TV shows. Having acted as an Under-Secretary-General last year, Lexie is excited to make ILMUNC XXXVI as successful, if not more so, as last year’s conference!
CHIEF OF STAFF
Danae is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Economics and minoring in Political Science. Hailing from the tiny island of Cyprus, Danae was involved in the European Youth Parliament and was thrilled to continue her MUN journey at Penn. After serving as an Under-Secretary General at ILMUNC 35, Danae couldn’t be more excited to be the Chief of Staff of ILMUNC 36. At Penn, Danae is also involved in the 180 Degrees Consulting Club, and the Partnerships and International Aid branch of the International Affairs Association. In her free time, Danae is caught hanging out with friends at coffee shops or stand-up paddle boarding on Cyprus’ beautiful beaches in the summertime.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Sebastien is a junior studying in the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business, a dual degree program between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School. He is a French language target within the program. Sebastien grew up in a Haitian household in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. While in high school, he led his school’s Model UN club and competed at conferences in DC and New York City. Besides being ILMUNC’s CFO, Sebastien loves to play and watch soccer (COYG), play the guitar, listen to any music, watch television and hang out with friends. He is extremely excited to serve as a your CFO for ILMUNC XXXVI.
CHIEF OF OPERATIONS
Julia is a junior in Wharton who plans on studying Marketing and Management, with a minor in Fine Arts. She was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, but her family recently moved to Miami, where she spends most of her vacations. Outside of ILMUNC, she is a member of Soundworks, a tap dance group at Penn. She also enjoys reading crime novels, watching movies on Netflix and eating as much chocolate as she possibly can. ILMUNC was her first international conference as a delegate, so she is really excited to work as Chief of Operations this year and put her efforts into making ILMUNC XXXVI the best conference yet!
USG OF GENERAL ASSEMBLIES
Erin is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences studying International Relations with a minor in Legal Studies. Hailing from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, a small town in Amish country, Erin loves spending time in the great outdoors hiking, picnicking, and lifeguarding in the summers. When she isn’t in class or working on tons of cool ILMUNC XXXVI stuff, Erin plays on the women’s water polo team, is involved with Penn Democrats, and is a University Scholar. Last year, Erin served as an Assistant-Secretary General of Crisis Simulations and she is thrilled to be one of this year’s Under-Secretary-General of General Assemblies! Her non-academic passions mostly consist of mac and cheese, good music, RBG, sleeping, and exploring new places. Erin cannot wait to meet the delegates and to make this conference the best one they’ve ever seen!
USG OF GENERAL ASSEMBLIES
Sameer is a sophomore in the Wharton School. He is undeclared on his concentration, but is passionate in the fields of finance, healthcare management, and public policy. He is originally a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed participating in debate and public-policy oriented clubs, in addition to also being a delegate at ILMUNC. Apart from ILMUNC, Sameer enjoys spending time with his family, skateboarding, making music, and playing jazz guitar. Sameer is very excited to be participating and coordinating ILMUNC this year, so please pull him aside if you see him running around the conference!
USG OF SPECIALIZED AGENCIES
Maranda is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences planning on studying Cognitive Science with a concentration in Computation and Cognition and a minor in Computer Science. She was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia and loves the city so much, that she decided to stay for another four years. In her free time, Maranda enjoys spending time with her amazing sorority sisters, eating lots of dim sum, chilling with some music, watching lots of Youtube and Netflix, and sipping on her green tea lemonades. She had an amazing time putting on the ILMUNC XXXV conference as an ASG and is so excited to serve as your USG of Specialized Agencies this year. She cannot wait to meet you all at conference!
USG OF SPECIALIZED AGENCIES
Nikhil is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Science studying the Biological Basis of Behavior with a minor in Healthcare Management. He is from Malvern, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia but he loves traveling and experiencing new cultures through food and language. He is on the Penn Club Tennis team and also is involved with research into anti-viral immunity and immunotherapy. He speaks Hindi and Spanish and also enjoys playing the guitar. Nikhil loved his experience at ILMUNC XXXV as an ASG and is looking forward to an even better conference in ILMUNC XXXVI!
USG OF ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCILS
Mariana is a sophomore in the Huntsman Program, a dual degree program between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School, where she studies Economics and International Studies, with a target in the German language. She was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil and Model UN was one of her favorite activities during high school. Outside of ILMUNC, she loves finding new coffee shops, watching sports, traveling and hanging out with friends. Mariana had an incredible time as an ASG at ILMUNC XXXV, and is beyond excited about coming back this year as an Under-Secretary-General of ECOSOC. She can’t wait to meet all of you!
USG OF CRISIS SIMULATIONS
Vinai is a sophomore in the Wharton School and the College of Arts and Sciences concentrating in Business Analytics in Wharton and Biology in the College. Vinai is from Chesterfield, Missouri and attended Marquette High School. At Marquette, he was a part of the Model United Nations team where he discovered his interest in foreign affairs and diplomacy. He attended MUNUC three times, but really wished he had participated in ILMUNC (the superior conference). He loved being a part of Model UN conferences and was very interested in the idea of being able to help run one in college. Outside of ILMUNC, Vinai enjoys spending time outside, playing tennis, and travelling. He can’t wait to see everyone for ILMUNC 36!
USG OF CRISIS SIMULATIONS
Vishesh is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Economics and Chemistry along with a minor in Statistics. Originally from West Windsor, NJ, a quiet town in Central Jersey, Vishesh was introduced to Model UN as a freshman in high school. Since then, he has been able to acquire plentiful impactful and memorable experiences from Model UN, including being a delegate at ILMUNC twice. Outside of ILMUNC, Vishesh is a member of Intercol, Penn’s competitive traveling Model UN team, and consults for companies as a part of MUSE Consulting. In his free time you can catch Vishesh exploring new music, passing the soccer ball around at Penn Park, and trying out all the diverse food Philadelphia has to offer. He’s excited to serve as a USG for ILMUNC XXXVI and hopes that all the delegates have an amazing time.
Jack is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences here at Penn. He plans on studying both Philosophy, Politics & Economics and Theatre Arts. Jack grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and is very excited to be living in Philadelphia. Besides being Business Director for ILMUNC XXXVI, he is also a member of Penn Student Government's Nomination and Election Committee and Mask and Wig, the nation's oldest all-male collegiate musical comedy troupe. In his (albeit limited) free time, Jack enjoys rock climbing and cooking. He can't wait to put on the best ILMUNC yet, and feel free to chat with him anytime during conference!
Isaac is currently a sophomore studying Economics and International Relations at Penn's College of Arts and Sciences. Outside of his participation in ILMUNC, Isaac is a member of Penn's Intercollegiate Model United Nations Team. Being from Denver, Colorado, Isaac loves hiking, camping, rafting, and skiing. He has also summited 17 of Colorado's highest peaks. Isaac equally enjoys running, listening to music, and binge watching The Office and Friends. Isaac is super excited to be a part of ILMUNC XXXVI and he looks forward to seeing everyone at conference in January!

Katie is a junior in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences where she is studying Digital Media Design. The major combines coursework in computer graphics within the Computer & Information Science Department, Communication theory courses from the Annenberg School, and Fine Arts courses from Penn's School of Design. Born in New Jersey, she moved to and was raised in Chicago. Besides being an ILMUNC Under-Secretary-General, Katie does design work for Jazz & Grooves, SPEC Concerts, and is the President of Penn Coffee Club. In her free time, Katie likes to go to concerts, eat good food, travel, and watch Brooklyn99. Katie loved her time as an Assistant-Secretary-General last year and is now so excited to be an Under-Secretary-General this year!

Nicholas is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in math and biophysics and minoring in French. Born in Albany, NY, Nicholas has spent some time living in Italy - but nothing compares to his experience in Philly, he says. On campus, Nick is a member of MARS and the Penn ski team. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Philadelphia and making food with friends. Nick, serving as an Under-Secretary-General of Operations, could not be more exited to help make ILMUNC XXXVI the best one yet!

Sarah is a sophomore in the Wharton School who plans to study Finance and Operations Management. Born in Beijing, she moved to San Francisco at a young age and has lived there since. She had a great time as an ASG during last year's conference and is looking forward to an even better year. At Penn, Sarah is involved in Class Board and manages corporate relations for Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club. She loves cooking, exploring restaurants, petting dogs, and watching Netflix documentaries. Sarah is excited to serve as the Under-Secretary-General of Operations for ILMUNC XXXVI and can't wait to see everyone at the conference!
